Telecom firm donates security vans to Edo

BENIN— GOVERNOR Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, yesterday, received five Toyota Hilux vans equipped with security communication gadgets from the management of MTN Foundation, to assist in the fight against crime in the state.

Commissioning the security vehicles, Oshiomhole said: “On behalf of the people of Edo State, I thank MTN for its decision to identify with government and people of Edo State in the area of security by making available to us five brand new well-equipped vehicles to aid us in our bid to stamp out crime in the state.”

General Manager, Network Planning of MTN, Mr. Gideon Obhakhan, said the presentation of the vans was part of the company’s contribution to the state government’s war against kidnappers and other criminals in the state.
