THE sprawling Redemption Camp which is the main host of the 62nd annual convention is already bubbling with several hundreds of people all read taking strategic positions I’m the Arena, venue of the spiritual fiesta.
A drive round the Arena yesterday revealed that young men and women taking advantage of the break from school, have been strolling into the camp with bags strapped on their backs.

Similarly, women of all ages had started arriving and some were seen busy arranging condoning certain corners of the Arena to create empires for thmselves and their family members who were yet to arrive just as several traders had taken positions marketing their various wares.
Our correspondents also reported that there were crowds of people around the few banks in the camp, apparently attempting to cash some money to take care of their needs during the programmes.

Cows too

JUST across the gulf at the back of the maternity is the abattoir where all the cows that would be used throughout the convention are slaughtered. It must be noted that there free meals for participants throughout the period of the convention.

Several cows were seen grazing at the different grassy corners of the camp. Similarly, a horde of hundreds of cows were, yesterday seen being excorted to the camp through second gate and were being led to their grazing field.

Efforts to get the exact figure of cows that will slaughtered proved abortive as person asked to volunteer information in that different told our correspondents that it was not possible to give such information because nobody can divulge the number of people who would attend.

”The number of cows or the number of bags of rice and other food items would depend of the number of people attending. Secondly, there is no way somebody cn determine that because there are several sources through these things come,” a source told Vangiard last night.
