IBADAN—Former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, has described the distribution of Permanent Voters’ Cards, PVC in Oyo State as a big failure.
He claimed it was an attempt to disenfranchise people from participating in the coming elections.

Speaking with Vanguard in Ibadan, Oyo State, yesterday, he lamented that he had been waiting endlessly for INEC officials charged with distributing the cards in his Ibadan North constituency, like others to no avail.
According to him, “The voters’ cards distribution exercise is a big mess in Oyo State. They do not even care that they are wasting people’s times. For three days, nothing happened.

Three days of going there and people have not got it. Do you know that in Ibadan North, I have not even got my own up till now? Nothing is happening in my ward, the same in Ward 3, Ward 5, Ward 10, Ward 11 of Ibadan North. I think these are the areas where they said they had just completed especially Ward 12. Can you imagine?”
