ASABA—Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Peter Onwusanya, has said the creation of Delta State 23 years ago helped in opening up numerous opportunities for development and upliftment of welfare of Deltans.
The speaker in Asaba, said the state had improved tremendously especially since inception of democracy in 1999.
According to him, despite the economic situation, Delta State had had a fair share of development and there was hope of improvement on the achievements recorded so far, saying “We are rejoicing today and always as we savour the numerous opportunities that have reached us individually and collectively as Deltans.”
While stressing that Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan had improved on the foundation laid by his predecessors, Onwusanya who represents Oshimili South Constituency in Delta State House of Assembly, called on Deltans to continue to support the state government in its drive to better their lives.
He thanked governor Uduaghan for opening up a stream of development in all facets touching the lives of Deltans.
