In a seeming determination to show muscle this Saturday, the APC yesterday directed all its elected office holders to flood the state.
The move is coming as the national secretariat of the opposition party was temporarily moved from Abuja to the battleground state.
The national officers who are expected to report in the state from today are to remain till the Saturday election, a statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Lai Mohammed disclosed yesterday.
The party said the move is part of the effort to show solidarity with the party candidate, Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
Mohammed, said the directive covers all political appointees in states under the control of the APC, especially Special Advisers and Commissioners.
Also expected in Osogbo are members of the party’s national exco and the national elders’ caucus.
APC said it perceives the forthcoming election as a celebration of democracy and a harvest time for the party, whose candidate has worked so hard to implement his mandate and make life more abundant for the people of the state.
The party also called on its members in Osun to be vigilant ahead of the poll, considering the myriad of desperate tactics being perfected by the PDP to reap where it claimed the party did not sow.
