Omisore didn’t instigate arrest of RMS boss

By Dapo Akinrefon
THE Omisore Campaign Organisation has faulted newspaper reports accusing the PDP candidate, Senator Iyiola Omisore of instigating the clampdown on a research and marketing firm, RMS, which is located in Lagos.

A statement by Omisore’s Director of Media and Strategy, Prince Diran Odeyemi described the report as “false and blatant lies peddled to score cheap political point” because of the government’s dwindling fortune and outright rejection by the people.”

He added that “even when the result of the so -called opinion poll  that only exist in their imagination has not been made public,  Osun State government said its governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola was the preferred candidate in August 9 election. We want the public to know that there is no iota of truth whatsoever in the report. It was a calculated attempt to smear the image of Senator Omisore and an attempt to attack the Federal Government by Aregbesola led administration because of the defeat starring them in the face as the August 9 election draws closer.”

“The  Managing Director of RMS has since refuted the Osun mischief that his arrest by DSS was based purely on the census his staff were doing on Guinness in Enugu where some of them were arrested and had nothing to do with Osun gubernatorial poll. We want to state that the RMS managing director is alive and can be contacted to know the true story.”

“No amount of blackmail and mischief will help Ogbeni Aregbesola and his co-travelers because the people of Osun State that they have impoverished and destroyed their means of livelihood through anti-people policies will not hesitate to vote them out on August 9, 2014. The security agencies should also be vigilant to nip in the bud any sinister plan by the APC and Ogbeni Aregbesola to circumvent the wishes of the good people of Osun state.”
