In a bid to celebrate the anti-apartheid legend, a non- governmental organisation, Folktales Moonlight, in partnership with the Nelson Mandela Foundation, NMF, celebrated Dr. Nelson Mandela in Lagos.
The event, held at Protea Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, attracted prominent personalities from corporate organisations, government agencies and non-government organisations.
Speaking during the occasion, Mr. Yuri Olumba, Managing Partner, Folktales Moonlight, stated: “The project is part of our corporate social responsibility initiative. Our target audience are secondary schools students. We intend to encourage a better reading habit amongst the youths and engage them positively with techniques for improved efficiency in positive thinking, dedication and a sense of national responsibility at their early stage, for a better society in the future”.
Project Coordinator, Mr.Ugoh Aji, explained that the second phase of the project is slated for July 22, in Lagos, entitled, “Nelson RolihlahIa Mandela-The Authorized Comic Book”.
