FORTALEZA (AFP) – Brazilian captain Thiago Silva scored after just seven minutes to give his side a 1-0 lead over Colombia at half-time in their World Cup quarter final in Fortaleza on Friday.

Neymar sent a corner kick over the Colombian defenders and Silva ran in to bundle the ball over with his legs and deal an early blow to Colombian hopes of a first win over the hosts in Brazil.
