The Nigerian Army has disclosed plans to review its dress regulation, which would ensure that its troops were kitted with same type, standard and quality of military wears.

Disclosing this yesterday in Lagos while commissioning the Nigerian Army Ordinance Ultra modern Tailoring Factory located in Yaba, the Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lieutenant General Kenneth Minimah, informed that the factory would, among other things, be solely responsible for the reproduction of the kits.

General Minimah, who said that the factory was a dividend of continuity, explained that it was also part of repositioning the Force in line with the Federal Government Transformation Agenda.

Efforts, according to him, were being geared towards self-reliance by using local materials to boost local contents in line with the Federal Government’s initiative of patronising made in Nigeria goods.

He charged the Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps to ensure the optimum utilisation of materials, production of quality wears that would guarantee the commercialisation of the factory and patronage by other sister services, para military and security organisations.
