Youths asked to stay relevant or risk ‘extinction’

Lanre Olusola has admonished Nigerian youths to stay relevant by “upgrading prophetically” to knowledge and other vital virtues that are required of a youth to succeed in today’s ever competitive world.

The Life coach and performance improvement management guru made this charge while delivering his message on the day two of the upgrade conference.

Speaking further, Mr. Olusola had identified the top ten: richest people in the world, innovations in the world, most influential people in the world and Brands in the world, he said the names mentioned in these categories did not get there through mere desires but through deliberate actions and productive thinking.

According to him “soon hard work will give way for mind work”. He maintained that “for us to remain relevant, we must see into the future because the more your yesterday becomes better than your today, the more extinct you become” There is need for youths to stay relevant because influence has a shelf life especially as the cycle of change accelerates, there can be no standing still.

The first day of the conference was a breakfast mentoring session with twelve professionals selected from business and career sectors to respond to questions around these sectors. It gave the participants the opportunity to interact with these luminaries without protocol.

The conference which was held in Lagos, Nigeria hosted industry leaders and some of Nigeria’s finest minds who shared their invaluable experiences on life, business and growth. The event also featured Breakfast Mentoring Sessions that cuts across 12 key business and career fields.
