Nigerian referee Udoh Ferdinand is one of the outstanding Referees selected by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to undergo a course for Young Talent Referees scheduled for the CAF Centre of Excellence , Bankomo, Cameroun in June.

A letter from the CAF Headquarters in Cairo addressed to the Nigeria Football Federation and signed by the Assistant Refereeing Manager, Athanase Nkubito, on May 11, informed the NFF that Udoh has been nominated for the course.

The NFF was further told to make sure that the referee “….arrived Cameroun in the best physical condition as a medical examination and a phyisical fitness test will be conducted before the referees are declared eligible for the course”

The tests will be conducted from June 4-6, while the course proper will last from June 4-9.

It will be recalled that in the last Young Talents Course held in Cairo Egypt, Ferdinand emerged the best course student and this attracted commendation even from his colleagues.

Monday, during the reception of his award as the best Nigerian referee in the year 2013 by Match Makers Consult International, Organisers of the Nigeria Pitch Awards, referee Jelili Ogunmuyiwa drew Journalists attention to the potentials of Ferdinand Udoh and other young referees in Nigeria who will carry the refereeing flag with pride in Africa and beyond.
