Tukur
Former National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Bamanga Tukur, has described the death of Hon. Justice Chukwudifu Akunne Oputa as a great loss to the nation and the Judiciary.
He said the death of Justice Oputa at this time in the history of the nation had created a major gap in both the administration and effective dispensation of justice, based on equity and fair play.
In a condolence message to the Oputa family signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Prince Oliver Okpala, Tukur noted that Late Justice Oputa was one of the legal minds in the country who through their judgments restored the faith and confidence of Nigerians in the Judiciary as the last hope of the common-man in the society.
He regretted that Hon. Justice Oputa died at a time his wise counsel was most needed on how to move the country forward and make the Nigerian project a reality, while enthroning egalitarianism in the society.
