BENIN— FOLLOWING the crisis rocking All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State, the Global Democratic Initiative, GDI, a group made up of grassroots politicians in the state, has expressed its desire to broker peace between Governor Adams Oshiom-hole and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and his loyalists.

Meanwhile, a leader of the party in the state, Elder Patrick Igbinaken, has denied resigning from the party, saying he was deceived to attend a meeting where he and some others purportedly resigned their membership of the party.

Elder Igbinaken, Chairman of the defunct Action National Congress in Ovia North-East Local Government Area of the state, told newsmen yesterday that as a founding member of APC, nothing could make him leave the party.
