The local subsidiary of global surveillance company, Axis Communications, has confirmed its intentions of expanding its reach into Africa.
While no dates have been confirmed, the company has said its expansion plans will include East and West Africa.
With this development, East Africa will be the first focus area and will see the introduction of an on-the-ground team of experts who will be driving brand and business awareness in the region.
Currently, the company can confirm the appointment of Interdict Alliances who will be managing distribution channels for all of African countries outside of South African borders.
Jason McGregor, sales manager for Africa at Axis Communications is naturally excited at the prospect of growing into the regions and says this expansion will mark an important millstone for the company globally.
“Africa is most certainly the fastest growing emerging market in the world, a message that was recently underpinned by announcements that Nigeria’s economy had surpassed South Africa’s as the largest on the continent after the West African nation overhauled its gross domestic product data for the first time in two decades.
“Our continent has gone through a remarkable decade of economic transformation and has become a very busy place to do business with talk of new investment, new cities, new airports and even new refineries. All of these places are going to need to be secured and it’d be remiss of us were we not to find our place amongst the buzz.”
