The Accord Party in Ekiti State suffered a huge setback over the weekend when its state chairman decamped to the Labour Party.
But the party has urged its members not be deterred in it quest to win the governorship seat of June 21.
The party stated its resolve to be steadfast and unshaken in the present political revolution being embarked upon by the platform.
In a statement signed by the State Secretary, Mr. Lanre Fasuan, the party expressed concern over the “covetous and lilly levered attitude of some of its members who do not belief in sacrifice for revolution.”
Fasuan stated that Accord as a party is vehement in pushing the homebased agenda which is very key to the people of Ekiti more so that they are currently wallowing in abject poverty and economic decimation and according to him the only solution is a non violent and intellectual political revolution which Accord has embarked upon.
Fasuan reminded the people that Accord Party remains the only platform that is with obvious messages that move in a spirit like a wild fire and permeates the body fabric of Ekiti people.
