Be wary of opposition, Fayemi warns

BY GBENGA ARIYIBI

The  Kayode Fayemi Campaign Organization has cautioned the people of Ekiti State to be wary of the antics of opposition in the state, saying the opposition is out to deceive the general public.

Speaking on a live political programme on an Akure-based private radio station, ADABA 88.9 FM monitored in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday, spokesman of the Campaign Organization, Mr. Dimeji Daniels, said “the opposition is confused by the superlative performance of the   Governor, Dr  Kayode Fayemi.”

According to Daniels, the opposition party’s claim that certain categories of workers will be sacked if Fayemi wins re-election is untrue, baseless and unfounded, revealing that the All Progressives Congress (APC) government has been employing more workers rather than sacking them.

Daniels explained that “the opposition is overwhelmed by the numerous achievements recorded by Fayemi and they are peddling lies but I want to tell you that the people are not buying into their lies.

“How can a government that is daily employing people be sacking workers who have contributed to the success of that government? The governor has achieved so much that the opposition has nothing to campaign against him and that is why they are resorting to lies and falsehood. On daily basis and what the people are saying is that the governor has performed well.”

He, however reeled out some of the achievements of the Fayemi administration to include quality healthcare delivery, social security stipends for the aged people, job creation, youth and women empowerment, tourism development, good road network, infrastructure development and revival of moribund industries.
