OWERRI—Six indigent widows, including a mentally challenged woman from Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State, have taken possession of new homes built and furnished for them by the wife of Imo State governor, Mrs. Nkechi Okorocha.

Commissioning the homes built under her pet project, “She Needs A Roof Project,” SNARP” located in the six different communities, where the widows were located, Mrs. Okorocha linked the increasing cases of mental disorder to extreme poverty and suffering.

“A person’s condition affects his emotional or mental health. This situation could give rise to mental and emotional instability,” she said.
She called on well-to-do individuals to change their attitude towards earthly possessions, stressing that priority should not be placed on political party membership but on the welfare of the people.
