Abuja – Kogi United Football Club of Lokoja on Tuesday announced the indefinite suspension of the club’s head coach, Fatai Osho.
The club’s Media Officer, Wale Mustapha, in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, said Osho was suspended for “repeated insubordination, fragrant abuse of power and disrespect for the team’’.
The statement said the club’s assistant coach, Yinka Kelvin, would act as Head Coach while the club’s Coach/Trainer, Sanni Mohammed, would move up as Assistant Coach in acting capacity.
“The former Remo Stars coach has been asked to stay away from the club and hand over all club activities to Kelvin, pending management’s decision on his case,’’ it said.
Osho joined Kogi United FC at the beginning of the current Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
Kogi United are currently placed eighth on the NNL Group A log with 18 points from 12 matches.(NAN)
