PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan has described the late Ciroman Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Mai-Wurno, 72, who was also the elder brother of the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar 111, as a highly respected personality, who dedicated his entire life to the service of the people.
Jonathan made this known in Sokoto, while condoling Sultan Abubakar over the death of the Ciroman in Sokoto, yesterday.
Represented on the occasion by the Vice President, Mohammed Namadi Sambo, he said, “I am here on behalf of President Jonathan, the Federal Government and the entire citizens of this country to extend our sincere condolences on the loss of our brother, the Ciroman Sokoto. We pray that those that he had left behind, Almighty Allah will continue to bless them.”
Sambo prayed Almighty Allah to grant the soul of the late Ciroma Aljannah Firdausi.”
He also prayed Almighty Allah to grant his entire family, the Sultan and his council, the government and people of Sokoto the strength to bear the loss.
