According to the CEO of Wonderland Entertainment, Tayo Adeyemo, “we believe that education is not limited to the four walls of a classroom and when the children go out like this, they learn by meeting people, they learn about Nigerian culture and history.

“Apart from broadening their knowledge about other means of transportation, it is also a means of exposure to their environment. A lot of these kids have not travelled outside their immediate locality.”

According to the Headmistress, Maranatha Private School, Kemonah Funmilol: “We have realised that learning is not supposed to be restricted to the four corners of the classroom, and with the tight schedule of most parents, they hardly have time to take their children out. Activities like this helps kids mix and interact with their peers, share ideas and enhance their communication skills.”

Speaking on the significance of the excursion during the ride, the Headteacher, Yemtol Nursery and Primary School, Kuye Florence Olusola, said though the pupils have learnt different means of transportation, it was better for them to see the practical aspect of rail transportation.

“We taught them that we have four main means of transportation, which include air, road rail and water transportation. They see road transportation all the time, so we decided to allow them have a feel of rail transportation because they hardly forget what they experience.”

Brands like CWAY and A&P foods made the ride a memorable one for the pupils as they provided Tigo and Nutri C drinks and Haansbro biscuits, respectively for the children.
