KANO— The Kano State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, has confirmed the death of 13 persons in an early morning auto crash on the Kano‑Zaria road.
Mr Kabir Nadabo, the command’s Head of Operations, said in a statement, yesterday, in Kano that the accident occurred at Tashan Kofa village.
He said: “Seventeen persons were involved in the crash and 13 of them died on the spot while four were injured.
“The bodies of the deceased and those injured were taken to the Murtala Muhammad General Hospital.
“A bus ran into a stationary articulated vehicle around 6.10a.m on the Kano‑Zaria road at Tashan Kofa, killing five men, seven women and a child on the spot.”
He said the two vehicles involved in the crash were marked XJ930AKR and XA748FUN respectively.
