By Eddie Akalonu

Zonal director of the Nigeria Television Authority, Lagos Centre, Mrs. Adenike Olufade has promised to work towards giving a face lift to facilities and equipment in the area as a way of ensuring adequate coverage of grassroots and national competitions.

The zonal director, who was speaking at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos while on inspection of NTA Network Sports facilities, said the purpose was to find out challenges facing the unit  with a view to giving due attention to such challenges as she commended the staff of the unit for constantly making inputs to the Network news in Abuja.

“I am here primarily to know our unit, see what we have on ground and find out challenges they face to see what we can do about them. What we have here we would use to continue to make inputs to the headquarters because sports play a very key role in our national life especially for youth development and I would urge our staff to do more in this zone because a lot of activities take place here.

Whatever areas we find requiring attention both for immediate and long term will get it within available resources to the Authority,’” she said.
