Nigeria Football Officials have labeled Sports Minister and Chairman National Sports Commission, Hon Bolaji Abdulahi, a bad influence in sports nay football administration, as he is used to using and dumping officials of the sports that have brought him glory and favour from Nigerians and President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

Reacting to the Minister’s latest gaffe that saw NFF President Aminu Maigari and his executive committee members neither getting a mention or speaking at the Presidential reception last Thursday in Abuja for the bronze winning CHAN Eagles, the members said the humiliation from the Minister has reached a point where they have to speak up.

“We respect the office of the Minister and we have always worked hand in hand with him but it seems we are always undermined each time we have worked hard to bring honour to the Ministry and the Commission. It happened when we won the Nations Cup last year and it’s happening again now with the CHAN Eagles. The coincidence is becoming an embarrassment to us and we think the Minister is deliberately undermining the NFF Executive Committee”, an embittered member said.

The latest development has not come only as a shock to the NFF leadership but is becoming a recurring decimal that members think must be checked.
