LAGOS—A stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos State and former aspirant to the Lagos State House of Assembly in the 2011 general elections, Adedayo Ogunjebe, has dismissed claims that the Party has lost majority of its members in Lagos to the ruling All Peoples Congress APC.

Ogunjebe in a statement maintained that the party had not gone to sleep, but reconciling aggrieved members in addition to mobilising for new members.
He said: “The issue here is that we do not have the resources to spend frivolously on unnecessary propaganda aimed at giving the populace a wrong impression of what is on ground as the APC is doing.

“As an opposition party in the state, we know the needs of the people and we are doing well to meet some of them, at least within the limits of our resources. This is why we have restricted ourselves to supporting children’s education apart from youth and woman empowerment.”
