Bayelsa State governor, Chief Henry Dickson, said, yesterday, that he was laying a solid foundation for a development revolution in the state.
Dickson, in an interview with journalists, said he was moved by the reality of underdevelopment in the state to do more for the state and its people.

The governor, who marked his second anniversary in office on Friday, pointed out that he decided to make the financial position of the state public, so as to encourage accountability and checkmate misappropriation of public funds.

Dickson pointed out that the Transparency and Accountability Act, which he signed into law makes it an offence if he fails to render the state’s financial position for up to three months, adding that he passed the law in the overall interest of the state.
