The Director General of the National Sports Commission, Honourable Gbenga Elegbeleye has told the Super Eagles team that won the bronze medal of the just concluded Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) to put the competition behind them and focus more on the Brazil 2014 World Cup that would kick off in June.
He harped on good preparations as well as selection of best legs for the Eagles to achieve success in the World Cup.
Elegbeleye has tasked the team to use the World Cup as a better avenue to prove their worth and to make Nigerians happy. He also commended them for not coming back home empty handed as they did well to beat Zimbabwe 1-0 to clinch the bronze medal of the CHAN 2014 competition. He also expressed happiness over a member of the team, Ejike Uzoenyi who emerged Most Valuable Player of the competition just like Kelechi Iheanacho who won same award in the last U- 17 World Cup held in United Arab Emirates last year October.
