ABEOKUTA—Ogun State  Commissioner for Finance, Kemi Adeosun and a former  aide to former Governor Gbenga Daniel of Ogun State, Gboyega  Isiaka have engaged each other over alleged  N2.8 billion fraud.

Adeosun fired the first salvo when she accused, Isiaka, who was  the  Group Managing Director of Gateway Holdings of taking a loan worth N2.8 billion for the construction of the company’s head office saying  the money was diverted.

The commissioner while answering questions from the legislators during her appearance at the House over proposed N19 billion loan, said   Isiaka took  the loan from two  banks, yet, there was no foundation anywhere in the state for  which the loan was taken in the name of the state government.

In his reaction, Isiaka who is also a governorship aspirant under Labour Party in the state described the allegation as a calculated attempt to misinform the people.

His words: “Let it be stated emphatically that her submission as usual, is a huge lie and a deliberately crafted falsehood consciously weaved to misinform the Ogun House of Assembly, OGHA, and indeed Ogun people in order to befuddle them from querying their latest loan gambit.”
