2015: 10 PDP aspirants struggle for governorship seat in Oyo

AS preparations for the 2015 elections gain momentum in Oyo State, no fewer than 10 governorship aspirants have emerged on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Among them are the former Governor of the state, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, Engineer Femi Babalola, an Ibadan-based business man, Prof. Soji Adejumo, former State Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Board, Azeem Gbolarumi, former Deputy Governor of the state, Seyi Makinde, Oloye Jumoke Akinjide, the Minister of State, FCT, Alhaji Taofeek Arapaja, former Deputy governor, Senator Teslim Folarin, former Senate leader, Prof. Taoheed Adedoja former Minister of Sports, and others.

To ensure the unity of the party, Otunba Alao-Akala has begun genuine reconciliation move to bring various feuding factions within the party together.

According to his aide, Engr. Femi Babalola, the reconciliatory move being made by Otunba Akala has started yielding positive results.
