ABUJA—A chieftain of  All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Willy Ezugwu, has faulted the ruling of Justice Kafarati of the Federal High Court, Abuja, which last week sacked Chief Victor Umeh as the party’s national chairman.

This came on a day, the suspended national chairman of the party, Chief Victor Umeh, urged the party hierarchy in Awka not to lose sleep over last week’s judgment of the Federal High Court, Abuja, which sacked him and the national secretary of the party, Alhaji Shikafi.

Ezugwu, who is also Secretary General of Conference of Nigeria Political Parties, CNPP, warned that the ruling was a clear indication that Nigeria was gradually returning to the era of politics of brigandage.

In a statement issued in Abuja, Ezugwu said the National Judicial Council and the Chief Justice of Nigeria must immediately investigate to know how and why justice was sold in the matter, given the curious nature of the ruling.

According to him, the ruling amounted to passing judgment on earlier rulings of the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court on the same matter.
