IBADAN — THE Oyo State government has finally resolved budding religious crisis in Iseyin schools in Oke Ogun area of the state.
Due to tension that mounted in the area over insistence of some Muslims in the town that female Muslim students should start wearing hijab at Iseyin District Grammar School, the government was compelled to postpone resumption of schools for the second term.

The Muslims reportedly threatened that any school rule that disallowed their female students from wearing hijab would be resisted.
The government had to organise  a meeting at the palace of Aseyin of Iseyin,  January 4, 2014, to resolve the issue.
The first meeting produced no concrete results.

Bent on maintaining peaceful co- existence among residents in the area, another meeting was summoned  on January 9, 2014 at the state Ministry of Education.
At the meeting, it was decided  that in Muslim named or faith based public schools, wearing of hijab should be allowed.
