OWERRI—The new national leader of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Maxi Okwu, has given ousted national chairman of the party, Chief Victor  Umeh, seven days to handover all party properties in his possession.
Chief Okwu, who handed down the directive yesterday in Owerri, when he paid a courtesy call on the protagonist of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereig State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, in his Owerri residence, did not, however, say what he will do if Umeh failed to comply.

Okwu said: “We are also asking him to render a detailed account, which shall be audited by a qualified auditor. We will proceed from there. We give him one week to comply.”
According to Chief Okwu, the handover note must include an inventory of all party assets, commitments and suits filed, so that the party’s legal team will take it up from where he stopped.

“The party should be a generic body and not a personal thing and if there are commitments made by APGA, which are not against party interest, they will all be fully implemented,” he said.
