LAGOS—Another member of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Prof. Ufot Ibanga, who died on his way to attend a meeting aimed at finding solutions to the six months national strike by the union, has been buried.
Ibanga, a former Dean, School of Postgraduate studies, University of Jos, died in an auto crash at Hawan Kibo on Jos – Keffi Road on July 8, 2013, while on his way to Abuja to honour an invitation by the National Universities Commission, NUC, on the ASUU strike.
The former ASUU official taught Sociology at the university. He was buried in his village, Ikot Akama, Oruk Anam Local Government Area, of Akwa Ibom State, weekend.
