PIONEER Chairman of Warri South West Local Government Area, Delta state, Hon. David Atikpekpe has stated that the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei is the choice of the Itsekiri people for the governor of Delta state come 2015.

Hon. Atikpekpe who made this known yesterday during the visit of Delta Focus Group, DFG to his country home along Odion road in Warri, Delta state said since Delta central and south have both enjoyed the seat for eight years each, it is wise to cede it to Delta North come 2015.

He said “and the only person qualified for the job is Hon. Victor Ochei. I knew the political terrain

of my local government area and we will deliver 100% percent for him in both the primary and general elections. Without mincing words, it is a clear fact that the 2015 governorship position is for Delta north.

“I have made my choice and even the Itsekiri kingdom has made it clear that the governorship of Delta state come 2015 is for Delta north, anything less than that we will not be part of it. Politics in my local government area is not politics of billionaires but of the grassroot, both the Ijaws and the Itsekiris are aware of this fact. In the bible, it is only through Jesus Christ that we can see God but in Warri South

West local government area politics, we can see God direct.

“We are aware that there are a lot of governorship aspirants from Delta north, hence we meticulously search for someone who will not betray us, who will take us to the promise land.”
