Low turn-out of voters marred the Supplementary Anambra governorship  governorship election holding in 210 polling units in the state.

In most of the polling units visited by our correspondents, sensitive electoral materials arrived early in most of the polling units. But, despite the early arrival these materials, the number of eligible voters, who came out for the accreditation exercise was very low compared to the turn-out during the November 16 and 17 elections.

During the accreditation exercise,Vanguard correspondents report that there was heavy presence of security men in most polling units visited with very few voters. By 10am, only 34 people were accredited at Central School Ideani, 60  at Umuoji Village Hall and  23 at Ideani Primary school.

Electoral Officers were seen waiting for voters at Akpakaogwe polling unit, Ogidi Ward 1 in Idemili LGA, while at 11am, only 56voters  were accredited out of 830 registered voters at the unit.
Meanwhile, electoral materials were yet to arrive at  two polling units in Fegge in Onitsha South LGA at  11:00am.
