NATIONAL Disciplinary Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, headed  by Second Republic Minister of Transport, Alhaji Umaru Dilkko, yesterday, asked the Bamanga Tukur led National Working Committee, NWC, to expel from the party the suspended former governor of Osun State and National Secretary of the party,  Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola.

Oyinlola was recently re-instated as National Secretary of PDP through a judgment by an Appeal Court sitting in Abuja.

But rather than ask him to resume, he was suspended and also summoned by the party to appear before the Dikko led Discplinary Committee.

Addressing journalists, yesterday, at the end of the meeting of the committee which took place at PDP Presidential Campaign Office, Legacy House, Maitama, Abuja, Deputy Chairman of the Committee and former Minister of Transport, Chief Ebenezer Babatope disclosed that Chairman of the defunct splinter group of PDP, Alhaji Abubakar Baraje and his deputy, Dr. Sam Sam Jaja were also asked to be expelled from the party.

Chief Babatope, who briefed journalists in the presence of Umaru Dikko, said the Committee recommended that the suspension of the National  Vice Chairman of the PDP, North West, Ambassador Ibrahim Kazuare be extended by one month, adding that, “he is expected to appear before the committee on December 10.”

Chief Ebenezer Babatope, who said there would be no questions from journalists, said:  “Some cases were referred to us and these cases affected Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Alhaji Kawu Barage, Sam Sam Jaja and Alhaji Kazaure.

“We have examined all the charges very meticulously and very critically and we have arrived at these conclusions that we are passing on to the National Working Committee.

“Three of them have been found guilty of charges brought against them; and they are Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Alhaji Kawu Barage, and Sam Sam Jaja.”
