BY ANAYO OKOLI

UMUAHIA—THE Chief Medical Director of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, NAUTH, Nnewi, Professor Anthony Igwegbe, has explained that there was no controversy in his appointment by President Goodluck Jonathan.

Igwegbe also said there was no crisis of any kind in the teaching hospital as the administration, according to him, has made tremendous success in service delivery and infrastructure in the hospital.

He said his explanation became necessary, following a recent media report suggesting that controversy trailed his appointment as the CMD of the hospital.

Prof. Igwegbe said he emerged through due process, stressing  that the records were available at the Presidency and federal ministry of health for anybody in doubt to verify.
