APC candidate Dr. Chris Ngige has said that he would make the people of the state happier if returned to power. He spoke when he made a visit to the burnt Polythene bags market located at Nwizu Estate in Awada, Onitsha, a statement by his campaign team said.
Ngige who was taken round the debris of the burnt market by the Vice-Chairman of the burnt market, Donatus Okwudili was told that the traders lost goods valued at N2.5 billion to the inferno.
The APC candidate made a donation of N1 million to the traders as a succor to the traders.
The APC candidate who is also vice chairman of the Senate Committee on Power, promised to approach the Enugu zone of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) to replace the combustible electrical materials like wooden poles with concrete poles.
Promising to rebuild the market if elected, he said: “If I come back to power, Anambra people will be happier like they were when I was here before and I will introduce new ideas for the development of the state, adding, the issue of insecurity in the state, lack of viable industries and high school fees would become a thing of the past,” he was quoted as saying in the statement issued by Clementina Olomu.
