THE Federal Character Commission, FCC, has assured all Nigerians not to entertain any fear of marginalization from government Ministries, Department and Agencies, MDAs while looking for employment.

The Acting Executive Chairman of the Commission Hon. Lawal Funtua who disclosed this at a one day sensitization workshop for Chief Executive Officers and Human Resources Managers stressed the need for the redressing of the problem of imbalances in public services throughout the federation.

Funtua said: “Most multi-cultural, multi-religious and sometimes, multi-racial nations in the world have always been confronted with challenges of balance and even socio-economic development.

“Naturally, inequality breeds suspicion, resentment and often leads to social strife and violence which in turn hinder development.“It is our hope that the outcome of today’s interactions will provide the participants’ appropriate understanding and promotion of the Federal Character Principle.

“We also hope that operators of media and information outfits will be persuaded to see the need to publicise the activities of the Commission’s mandate, he added.”
