Lazio midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has said the Eagles cannot afford to let down their guard for the return leg match against Ethiopia on November 16 despite a 2-1 win away in Addis Ababa.

“A lot of work still needs to be done ahead of the second leg. We need to Correct the mistakes from the game and approach the second leg like it where the first,” Onazi warned.

Onazi also explained that the Eagles were a lot cautious in the first half so as not to burn out because of the high altitude in Ethiopia.

“It was strategic as we needed to conserve energy for the second half because of the altitude. We thank God that our plans worked well and we won.”
