ABUJA—The Nigerian Copyright Commission, NCC, yesterday, threatened to clamp down on all hotels operating in the Federal Capital Territory and its environs using Multichoice bouquet without due recourse to the pay TV company.
The Director of Enforcement, NCC, Mr. Augustine Amode, made the threat when he led his team to seven hotels allegedly using Multichoice bouquet illegally.
He warned all the hotels using the Multichoice bouquet to present their receipt to the Commission or risk closure of their outfits.
“We gave them two weeks to present the receipt to us. Failure is enforcement and enforcement is that we will enforce the law, arrest whoever is involved and prosecute whoever is involved.
“That is why, we handed them letters indicating the power the commission has, to do exactly what we are doing,” he said.
