By Emeka Aginam

While BrianFriend education software solution continues to  make inroads in the Nigerian education system, Anambra State government  has deployed the software to power its educational system.

Similarly, the Cross Rivers State government in partnership with IT&C Network Limited, has just concluded a similar deployment for over ten thousand (10,000) teachers, while a fresh deployment for fifteen thousand (15,000) teachers in Abia State will soon commence with the same partnership.

Already, the NUT Lagos State chapter, according to the company is currently engaging some organizations in talks about deploying over forty-five thousand (45,000) licenses for all teachers in Lagos State.

Cinfores Limited is an indigenous company developing various educational solutions including school management information system for school administration and management (eCampus & eSkool) that are presently running in various tertiary institutions and primary and secondary school accros the country.

It would be recalled that the solution has been successfully implemented in Lagos State with the Nigerian Union of Teachers, (NUT) in the first quarter of the year.

The Brainfriend software comes ready with over fifty thousand (50,000) questions, answers, and explanations covering over forty-two (42) teaching subjects of the primary through the senior secondary school, career guide covering major disciplines offered in Nigerian and some other West African universities, the Nigerian national curriculum, and over fifty (50) e-books on the elementary and secondary schools teaching subjects and lots more. Interestingly, the software also has a mobile version for smart phones, which can be downloaded from the Google play store.

This makes it easily accessible to users who do not own orhave access to a laptop/desktop computer.

Reviewing the solution, Anambra State governor, Mr. Peter Obi with excitement expressed delight in the solution developed locally by young Nigerians who evidently have their hearts bent on improving the plights of Nigerian school children.

“I am impressed with this product, especially with the fact that it was indigenously developed with local content that suits the nation’s education system. These are the kinds of people and products we want to spend time with in partnership especially on education and ICT matters,”, he said.

Speaking on some of the interesting engagements, Head, Business Development of Cinfores, Mrs Jachi Briggs hoped that before long, Nigerians will heave a sigh of relief as the company is in talks with a number of state governments, federal government parastatals, multinational organisations, and individuals to  deploy the software across the country.
