A pressure group, the Niger Delta Revolution Movement of the Niger Delta struggle has endorsed Chief Ede Dafinone for Senate in the by-election coming up 5th of October 2013.
In a chat with newsmen, the leader of the group, Comrade Patrick Akamovba hailed Ede Dafinone over his landslide victory at the primaries held in Ughelli, Tuesday, where Dafinone polled 872 votes to beat his closest rival, who scored 352 votes and called on the Urhobos to come out en-masse to vote Ede Dafinone for Senate.
“It is clear that Ede Dafinone is the man that can represent Urhobos effectively at the National Assembly and was determined to make life better for the people and also bring development to the Urhobo people”.
Akamovba said that the group was prepared to resist any form of rigging urging INEC to conduct a free and fair election.
