A corps member serving in Akwa-Ibom State, Oluwakayode Ajomole, has emerged winner of the second edition of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Essay Competition and symposium, organised by the Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN).
Six finalists were considered to be the best in the essay contest with the topic: Integrity: Panacea for Socio-Economic & Political Challenges in Nigeria, among thousands of corps members that put in for the competition.
Ajomole, a former student of University of Ilorin, scored the highest mark to beat Eyitayo Abiodun and Sani Deborah, who ranked second and third, respectively.
Speaking at the ceremony, the former General Secretary/CEO of BSN, Dr. Fred Odutola advised Nigerian youths to be the change that the nation is clamoring for by saying the truth and shunning all forms of immorality.
Explaning integrity as soundness, wholeness and sense of uncorrupted virtue, Odutola said youths should avoid dragging the name of their families and nation into the mud.
