ABUJA—The Police High Command, Monday, effected a minor shake up in its hierarchy with the posting of Assistant Inspector General of Police in-charge of Zone 4, Markudi, AIG Mike Zuokumor, to Umuahia as the new AIG in charge of Zone 9.

Zuokumor, who was a former Commissioner of Police in charge FCT, will oversee activities of the police in Imo, Abia, Enugu and Anambra states.

The new AIG in-charge of Zone 4, Markudi is AIG Tambari Mohammed.

Mohammed, formerly in-charge of Zone 9, Umuahia, will now oversee security of the police in Plateau, Nasarawa and Benue states.

Also appointed is a new Assistant Commissioner of Police in- charge State Criminal Investigations Department for Rivers State.

He is ACP Ibrahim Sani Kaoje, while ACP Vhani Felix Yame is the new Assistant Commissioner of Police in-charge of operations at Yobe State Command.

The new Area Commander for Ajah (Area J) in Lagos is ACP Christopher Obagunle, while the new Area Commander for Idimu (Area M), is ACP Shinkafi Bashiru Mohammed.

A statement issued in police headquarters in Abuja said all the appointments took immediate effect.
