Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, yesterday, inaugurated a Pay-As-You-Go electronic ticketing system for Bus Rapid Transit, BRT buses, ferry and rail transportation system, aimed at phasing out the paper ticketing system in the state.

The governor, who spoke while commissioning the system at C.M.S. Bus Stop, Lagos Island, said it was a poverty alleviation programme from the state through the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, LAMATA, to the 21 million residents of the state.
