For their 4-1 win over Côte d’Ivoire on Saturday, Nigeria’s domestic Super Eagles were paid $2000 as winning bonuses.
This amounts to less than half of the new reduced bonuses proposed by the NFF for the main team.

NFF Executive Committee member Chris Green told KickOffNigeria.com after the game that the team would get reduced bonuses and explained why.
“Yes, their bonuses for this game will be less than usual,” Green said.
“This competition is a lesser one to the main African Nations Cup so we cannot pay the same bonus.”
In addition to reduced bonuses, the players also got half the usual daily allowance of $100.
