Lagos State Security Council, LSSC, yesterday, sounded a note of warning to criminals, urging them to stay off the state or face severe consequences.
At a meeting under, the chairmanship of Governor Babatunde Fashola, Deputy Commissioner of Police, in charge of Operations, Mr. Tunde Sobulo, said Lagos was now very calm with the security agencies rapidly dismantling kidnap gangs and halting the unwholesome trend.
Sobulo, who fielded questions from newsmen at the Lagos House, Marina, after the meeting, said the security agencies had spread their nets to Ogun State, where some of the criminals on transit had been discovered.
He said: “We are getting closer and the best thing for them is not get close to Lagos. If you kidnap anybody from here to any part of the country, we will go after you and get that person back.”
