Warri Wolves on Wednesday at the Rojenny Stadium, Oba, Anambra State defeated hard fighting Dynamite Football Club Benin 1-0, in the round of 64 of the Federation Cup courtesy. Omofomah Freedom scored the lone goal in the 40th minute of the thrilling encounter.

Omofomah, who was bought from the Benin outfit at the beginning of the season had boasted before the match that he had would nail the boys from Benin lived up to his words after posting a 5-star performance which kept the crowd cheering throughout the encounter.

Coach Solomon Ogbeide had rested some regular players including Oghenekaro Etebo who has scored nine goals in the league but those selected did not let the team down.

Speaking after the match, Coach Solomon Ogbeide praised the boys for their performance against Dynamite FC who played in the round of sixteen last season.

“I am giving kudos to my players because the Federation Cup is not easy all over the World. Dynamite FC sent out Akwa United last season.”
