My award was not an ‘arrangee’, says Jabulani

A producer/presenter of Bond FM’s highly acclaimed news programme in Yoruba language, ‘’Koko inu iwe iroyin’’ (today in the papers), Jolaoluwa Afolabi popularlly called J.J. Jabulani has said his recent award as the ‘’Radio presenter of the year’’ was as a result of hard work and not arranged by anybody.

He was recently honoured in Lagos during the Elitist professional awards 2013 which held at Capital City Hotel, Ikeja amidst pomp and pageantry.

The elated Jolaoluwa told Showtime that the award came at the right time as he had already put in ten years in the broadcast industry, ‘’I did not arrange for the award; rather, it was a big surprise to me, although I have received series of awards but this is the first major one and I am happy that my effort in the industry is being recognised,’’ he said.

The ace broadcaster who also presents a Yoruba sports analysis programme, ‘’L’ori Papa’’ on Bond FM also said plans are in top gear to début a Yoruba city programme tagged ‘’Ni’gboro Eko’’ on Mondays also on Bond FM.
