Enyimba’s Gwar dreams top scorer crown

Enyimba’s forward Sibi Gwar has set his sights on emerging the top scorer of the Nigerian League.

Gwar, scored all the goals in their 3-0 bashing of reigning champions, Kani Pillars, to emerge the star performer of Week 11 of the Nigeria league,  said he was confident of picking the top scorers gong if he continues finding his range in front of goal this term.

“I thank God that I am back getting the goals. It was not always easy as a striker when goals are not coming and your team not doing well. I am feeling good now and hope to get more goals,” Gwar said.

Gwar emerged as Nigeria league top scorer last season with 17 goals and said he is hoping to do same this term.

“I was the top scorer last season. I will be glad to retain it, but with more goals than last season, setting a new record will be great. That is my personal ambition, but I also want to win the league with Enyimba,” he added in an interview with mtnfootball.com

Gwar, who previously played for Minna-based Niger Tornadoes, has now scored four goals in the current campaign.
